Come camp with us in a magical place with 200 acres of Canadian Sheild (the oldest rock on Earth!), nestled within meadows, forests and waterfalls on the beautiful Manitouwabing River.
A main space for gathering with an outdoor kitchen, designated playshops and workshops happen around the site. To add to this there is a Children’s Circle, and a new Youth Circle.

Playshops/Workshops 2008
Outline & Schedule

Workshops and playshops vary in length. Take note that spontaneous new playshops are offered as well and added to the community board - so check in the morning to find out what's new!All start times apply. Here is an outline:

"Art Breath" - Art making, your story through image, colour, line. A way of drawing and painting that opens you to your personal visual vocabulary. Bring your art supplies or use ours.

"Healing with your Voice"
- Use your voice to heal your body. Within your voice are the frequencies of sound best tuned to you, learn the exercises to strengthen your voice/sound/tone and experience an intuitive approach to personal and group sound healing with our voices.

"Rhythms & Songs"
A drumming workshop with hand drums and percussion instruments. Join the power of voice with the power of rhythm as you learn songs and the rhythms that go with them.

"Sweat Lodge" (Sunday Night)

Be a part of the creation of the lodge, collection of the materials, then help build it and participate in the ceremony. The lodge runs late Sunday night. Bring sarong/towel, water to drink.

"Dreampath"
A musical and vocal healing experience improvisation. Co-create a magical stream of music and sound from your soul - using drums, your voice, and anything else which inspires - no musical pre-requisites, and musicians very welcome.

"Wild Flowers - Edibles in Nature"
Enjoy recognizing wild flowers, berries, plants you can eat. Pick for a wild salad lunch - snack as you go. This is a taste delight!

"Contact Improv Dance"
Your story is in your body - it's how you hold yourself together. Join guest contact dancers to find your playfulness, with this intimate conversation, to expand your awareness, give you instant energy and to explore the healing aspects of Contact Dance.

"Yoga & Flowing Movement"
Move your body freely, allowing yourself to feel what is stuck and stretch gently, awaken your chio - life force - and experience energy unleash. Yoga mat or blanket - on the grass.

"Creating Table... Creating Area "- magic wands made of driftwood and crystals, talking sticks/staffs, Create flower garlands, chenille crowns, feather wands, personal ornaments. macramé. Bells and shells, sticks and paint, colours and light and fun! All ages area. Bring your own supplies to add to the groups!

"Liquid Hip Hop, Break Dance, Circus fun" - an all ages fun time moving, playing with these genres of dance, moving together, showcasing personal style and expression. Learning balance and flowing movements.

"Saturday Night Performance/Celebration Circle"
We come together to share our newly learned skills, from workshops and playshops, to play in theatre, open performance art, spontaneous music and inspiration abounds - for everyone!

Children's Celebration Group - Hikes, swimming, art making, Sunday Rainbow Parade, music, dancing. There will be a couple of choices a day for planned activities.

Sunday 4pm- Monday 4pm Extra fee - add $55 adults, $85 for family
Sweatlodge Sunday night and spontaneous events, relax by the river and waterfalls, meditate on the rocks, do yoga, swim, play!

What to Bring:
Bring your love, joy, enthusiasm, gratitude and passion for life & community, and your intent for the weekend.

Weekend passes include dinner Friday eve, and BBQ lunch on Sunday only.

FOOD: POT LUCK MEALS or You can bring your own other meals or meals may be available to buy, not guaranteed enough for all.
POT LUCK MEALS on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, bring food- we have 2 BBQ (propane) for all to share, outside kitchen/ sink, water, counter.
Bring plate, cup cutlery for yourself/family, we all do our own dishes.

Aleila is an alcohol & drug FREE zone • please respect.

TENT: and sleeping things, cushion or folding chair, Hat, swim stuff, etc.
Bring Instruments, hand drums, guitar, harmonica, etc
- no plug in - all acoustic instruments only
If inclined, fancy sarongs and lovely things to wear for Saturday night circle and performance time.
Your sacred thing(s) for the altar, a gift to give away - for give away table (optional).

Port-a-Poties for toilets, no bath or shower - kids hose off area, and there is the---ah! RIVER (no soap please).

For kids: HATS!(have an extra just in case)
Please bring life jackets unless they are good swimmers. Dress up stuff for the Sunday Parade, Special stuff to play with in the kids tent zone. Books for quiet time and story time, around the fire jokes and fun skits. Instruments if they play. Art Supplies.
Good sandals, hiking shoes, socks for night. Long sleeve for bug hour, long pants.
Kids sand box and kids tiny pool by the main area and main fire pit.
Please No electronic devices for kids - ie gameboy or DS Lite, etc

CAR POOLING
In order for us to help get you a ride, or if you offer one from your car you need to email us the following:
For how many do you have space in your car, and what area of the city, time approx. you are leaving/cominmg back?
Do you need a ride? from where, time of departure?

We will do our best to hook up people by sending email addresses and #'s out that fit - please share the gas money and get to know each other!
